Wat Arun

Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn, stands on the western bank of the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok. Its central prang and surrounding smaller towers create one of the city's most recognizable riverside silhouettes. The surfaces are decorated with porcelain and other ornamental pieces, which form intricate patterns that become more apparent at close range. The temple combines a prominent river setting with distinctive Buddhist architecture.
