Wat Ban Tham

Wat Ban Tham is a Buddhist cave temple in Khao Noi, Tha Muang district. Its distinctive approach leads through the open mouth of a large dragon and up a staircase that feels like entering the dragon’s body. Paintings along the route draw on the Thai literary story Khun Chang Khun Phaen and the temple’s traditions. The climb leads to cave shrines with Buddhist images, while further stairs continue toward higher viewpoints and a hilltop pagoda. The temple combines religious spaces, cave scenery and views across the Mae Klong River and surrounding countryside.
